    Understanding USERRA
The Uniform Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act

    Jonathan Liddle
Director of Human Resources for Washington County

    Workshop Overview:
The Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) assists veterans and employers in understanding employee eligibility, job entitlements, employer obligations, benefits and remedies under the law. USERRA is intended to encourage non-career uniformed service so that America can enjoy the protection of those services, staffed by qualified people, while maintaining a balance with the needs of private and public employers who also depend on these same individuals.

Johnathan will help highlight what employers are required to provide to persons entitled to the rights and benefits under USERRA, provide resources/links to more information if needed, and answer any questions HR professionals may have relating to the law.
